☁️Prysm Validator Node Update

(Version 5.1.2) (New ECS Experience)

This document is only for Launchnodes customers who have bought the Prysmatic Validator node product from AWS Marketplace.

These simple steps will allow you to update your validator node with the latest version of the validator client from Prysmatic labs.

Our video guide explains and shows the steps below and how they are implemented this video guide is for reference only. (In the video we use an older image URL you have to copy and paste the latest URL given in step 8 below).

1. Open your AWS console and login into your account.

2. Open Elastic Container Service(ECS) from the console.

3. Click on your created cluster.

4. You will be able to see services which are already running inside your cluster. There will be 2 services already running inside your cluster one is the gateway related service(you are likely to have named this the validator_gateway_service or something similar) and second one is the validator service(you are likely to have named this the validator_service).

5. Click on validator_service and move to "Configuration" bar.

6. Click on the Task definition.

7. On top right, you will find Create new revision button. Select "Create new revision with JSON" .

8. In the JSON file, replace image

1. Scroll down and click on create. Now new revision is created.

2. Go back to validator cluster, select validator_service and click on update service.

3. In the update page, tick the "force new deployment" box and select the latest revision.

4. Scroll down and click on update.

After updating the service monitor your validator node via beaconcha.in.
