# To stop validator\_service

Service must be stopped to make sure the old keys are not attesting while the new nodes are being set up, to avoid a slashing event.\ <br>

1. Open your aws console and go to ECS.\ <br>
2. Open your validator cluster.\ <br>
3. You will find two services. Check the box for validator\_service and click on delete.

4. Enter the prompt and delete.
