Automated data and outcomes
Full data transparency and clear reporting
Our approach is to try and match long term funding through staking with long term quantitative data from the INGO or multilateral. Publishing the returns received and the impact delivered.
NGOs and multi-laterals have extensive experience collecting relevant quantitative data about the impact they are measuring from their work. Using this experience avoids creating onerous or unrealistic reporting requirements. So far we have used data our partners have suggested and were already collecting.
We see there being a requirement for lots of new thinking around this idea of funding through staking returns being contingent on data. Not because it stops outcomes from failing (lots of work on monitoring and evaluation and RCTs exist), rather that it creates a transparent data rich way to understand any failure or problems which we think constitutes a success.
