Lido CSM node operation is easy and cost-effective using AWS and Launchnodes. Run your CSM node in your AWS infrastructure whilst connecting it to Launchnodes' beacon and execution layer nodes, thus removing the cost and technical complexity of becoming a Lido CSM node operator. Launchnodes Beacon nodes run the MEV Boost client which is connected to the most profitable non-transaction-censoring relays. This is designed to streamline technical management and reduce costs for CSM node operators, enabling you to get maximum staking rewards.
Launchnodes CSM is the most cost-effective and resilient way to be a CSM node operator. The Lido Community Staking Module is a system designed to decentralise Ethereum staking by enabling the broader Lido community, including node operators and independent validators, to participate directly in the staking process. It allows these participants to manage and operate validators while still contributing to the overall Lido network, fostering greater transparency, inclusivity, and resilience within the staking ecosystem.
CSM Nodes with Launchnodes have been designed to address the primary challenges of node operation as a node operator: the high cost and technical complexity of deploying a node without blockchain expertise.
Launchnodes' user interface simplifies the process of becoming a CSM node operator. Allowing you to set up and manage validator nodes as a CSM node operator in your own AWS account and infrastructure, ensuring exclusive access and control.

Seamless Integration
Beacon Node & Execution Layer Nodes: Leverage Launchnodes’ high-performance beacon and execution layer nodes, ensuring your reliability and efficiency as a node operator.
Easy set up: Set up your CSM node and become a node operator using a simple and secure UI that runs on your AWS infrastructure that nobody has access to.
2. MEV pre configured to maximise returns
Launchnodes CSM nodes connect to Beacon nodes running MEV Boost
Launchnodes automatically connects your nodes to the most profitable relays that do not censor transactions
3. Cost-Efficiency
Optimized Pricing: The cost of being a Lido CSM node operator is $240 USD per year using your own AWS Infrastructure with Launchnodes.
Scalable Infrastructure: Easily scale your CSM nodes up or down from (1-20 nodes) based on your needs without incurring unnecessary infrastructure costs.
Technical Simplicity
Automated Deployment: CSM nodes with AWS and Launchnodes have an easy UI to set up and manage the node and the node infrastructure, reducing the complexity and increasing the reliability of your CSM node.
Pre-Configured Settings: Comes with pre-configured settings for both beacon and execution layer nodes, reducing the need for extensive technical knowledge.
Performance and Reliability
High Availability: Ensure high uptime and performance with Launchnodes’ reliable infrastructure, reducing the risk of downtime or performance issues.
Efficient Resource Management: Enhanced resource management and monitoring tools to keep your nodes running smoothly.
Streamlined Operations: Use enterprise data centers, power, bandwidth and cooling, not the electricity and broadband at home. Reduce the cost and effort required to set up and manage Lido CSM nodes using AWS and Launchnodes
Lower Costs: Take advantage of cost-efficient pricing models and scalable infrastructure tailored to your needs.
Enhanced Performance: Rely on high-performance nodes that ensure optimal operation and reliability.
By transforming the deployment process into a visual interface, Launchnodes removes the need to interact with the command line interface (e.g., Terminal on macOS), minimising the risk of human error and enhancing security, allowing you to become a Lido node operator.
Additionally, the Staking UI features a comprehensive dashboard and node management tools, which will be detailed later in the document. This package serves as a complete solution, enabling solo staking both at scale and on an individual node level.
The staking user interface and your node dashboard are not publicly accessible websites. They are hosted on your private AWS infrastructure, which means they are secured and accessible only by you. We have added SSL certificates to enhance security, but you may still see a "Not Secure" warning in your browser when accessing the interface via an IP address.
This warning occurs because browsers often flag SSL certificates used with IP addresses as less secure compared to domain names. While associating a domain name with your infrastructure and applying the SSL certificate to that domain would eliminate this warning, we do not recommend this approach. Attaching a domain would require your IP to be registered in a public domain registry, which is unnecessary and could expose your infrastructure to additional risks.
Your current setup is secure and tailored for private use. If you have further concerns or questions, please let us know.
We also recommend using a VPN when deploying the node or accessing the CSM Staking UI dashboard. Please note that our testing has indicated Cloudflare VPN often blocks UI pages, making it a suboptimal choice for node deployment.
If your stack deployment encounters issues and enters Rollback mode, you can resolve this by changing the AWS server region. This can be done via the header menu of AWS console, located next to your account ID. While we recommend using the London region by default, you are free to select any region that suits your needs.
